Each issue, we choose one article to share online. James Kendall has converted a shipping container into a studio flat, fitting perfectly in the tiny space available on his small suburban block.

The street facing wall was clad macrocarpa battens, placed 10mm apart.

Windows were fitted into frames of steel reinforcing welded around each opening.

Glass brick window is fire rated.
